All humans are expecetd to die sometime; however, some humans, when they die are sent to alternate universes much like our own. These universes are called Heaven and Hell. They have certain qualities that our universe does not have, such as the people are forever living, imortal. To go to Heaven doesn't mean you are a good person; likewise, when you go to Hell you aren't necissaraly bad. Once in your new environment, you can never go back to the way you were before. Also, when you become an Angel or Devil, some things about you may change.
However, you don't necissaraly always stay in Heaven or Hell. Some Angels have been known to not pay attention to the rules, or they are bad, and some Devils are known to be too good. When something like this happens, they are kicked out of their respective universes, and are sent to live on Earth.
On Earth, the Angels and Devils aren't able to show Humans who they are or what they are, though they live among them. However, they can tell Ghosts. Like Angels and Devils, Ghosts are dead people; however, they are sent to live on Earth unable to communicate to Humans in any way, and are invisible to them as well. Though Ghosts cannot communicate with Humans, they can communicate with Angels and Devils.
To the Angel and Devil races, it is a sin to socialize with the opposite race. Angels do not like Devils and vice versa. So, when two of the opposite races fall in love, Heaven and Hell go crazy.
